In addition to the required and recommended points above, here are 3 common ways to play Horizon from the mod author Zawinul. The goal for these addons is to adjust the Fallout 4 environment to match my personal preference. They're intended to go together, but obviously not required to. They have no requirements for Horizon v1.9, so I'm making them available first for players to try out. Note that these are the first test versions of these addons. In order to perceive Horizon as it is intended, it is recommended to start without any other mods. 📝 Note: If loose files aren't enabled via INI edit, item tags will be visible in-game.

Fallout zero install Patch#
Horizon replaces a large number of data in Vanilla Fo4 and almost all mods need a patch, usually no patch means not compatible! Take your time for a clean installation that may save you from a crash to desktop (CTD) later. Ideally, you install Horizon without any further mods, do a clean installation of Vanilla Fo4, especially if it's your first playthrough. It is advisable to use Mod Organizer 2 for this. If you want to use Horizon with multiple mods. Before reading this article, familiarize yourself with a mod manager.
